The institute was established in year 1976 with trades Draughtsman Civil, Mechanic Motor vehicle, Stenography Hindi, Electronics Mechanic, Wireman, Radio T.V. , having 96 seats. The institute has its own building situated at the height of approx. 932 Meter ( 3058 fts) above mean sea level in Dugadda block of district Pauri Garhwal. It is situated 15 km. from Kotdwar & 92 km. away from Pauri city. The nearest railway station is also kotdwar. The institute is covered under Public Private Partnership scheme of Government of India, to provide improved quality training. The institute runs with an industry partner under Public Private Partnership (PPP) scheme with Uttarakhand Power Corporation (UPCL) Uttarakhand. Industrial partner is associated to lead the process of upgradation.
