Welcome to Govt Industrial Training Institute, New Tehri. The Institute was established in the year 1972 in Old Tehri, Tehri Garhwal with an objective of imparting skills in various vocational trades to meet the skilled manpower requirements of Industry. ITI was shifted to its new premises at New Tehri, Uttarakhand after formation of Tehri Dam in year 1997.
Institute has all infrastructure facilities needed for overall development of skilled manpower like well equipped /workshop, Theory Rooms, Library, Hostel facility, audio visual aids and hi-tech computer lab. At present the intake capacity of institute is 360 seats in Nine different engineering and non engineering trades of two year and one year duration. The course are affiliated to national Council for vocational Training ( NCVT) through Directorate General of Employment and Training (DGET), Government of India in the Ministry of labour, New Delhi.
