The Institute (an ISO 29990:2010 Certified) was established in the Year 1985 with Trades Electronics, Fitter and Sewing Technology having intake capacity of 84 at present. The Institute has its own building situated in Joshiyara, Uttarkashi. The institute is 3 Km away from District Head Quarter Uttarkashi, 90 Km from Nodal ITI Barkot and 150 Km from state capital Dehradun.
The Institute Has Uttarakhand Jal Vidhyut Nigam Ltd. (UJVNL), Tiloth, Uttarkashi as Industry Partner under PPP scheme.
