The Institute is established in the Year 1991. Currently running with two Engineering trades Electronics Mech. & Mech. Motor Vehicle and Non-engineering trade Sewing Technology having total intake of 68 seats at present. The trades are affiliated to National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) through Directorate General of Employement and Training (DGET), Government of India in the Ministry of labor, New Delhi.
The Institute has its own building situated in Dharasu, Chinyalisaur. It is 30 Km away from District Head Quarter Uttarkashi, 65 Km from Nodal ITI Barkot and 110 Km from state capital Dehradun.
