The Industrial Training Institute (an ISO 29990:2010 Certified) located at Tanakpur, Uttarakhand was established in 1976. This Institute situated infront of Tanakpur Railway Station. The institute have total seven various trades. There are four Engineering trades (Mechanic Electronics, Fitter, Electrician, Mech. Motor Vehicle) and three trades are Non-Engineering (Fashion Design Technology, Sewing Technology, Stenography and Secreatrial Practice (Hindi)) except Sewing Technology currently Six are functional. At present Instiute have total trainees strength of 260. After Improvement Plan Two trades Welder and Refrigerator and Air Conditioning (two units each) including 3 units in three trades Fitter, Electrician and Mechanic motor vehicle institute trainees capacity increases to 412.
